Whispers of Spring - Advanced Level 3
In this lesson we’ll paint a charming English countryside cottage nestled in a springtime lane surrounded by budding trees, fresh greenery, and soft spring light.
I was instantly drawn to the reference image of this lesson—the gentle curve of the lane naturally leads your eye right to the heart of the scene, where the stone cottage sits bathed in warm sunlight.
You’ll learn how to paint textured stonework with rustic charm, build soft layers of foliage, flowers, and dappled shadows. As well as use light to create atmosphere and depth there’s plenty of beautiful detail to work on—perfect for honing your brushwork and deepening your understanding of light and texture in the landscape.
