The River Blackwater which flows by our office is always beautiful, but on this particular morning the light caught my eye straight away. In this lesson we’ll focus on capturing the quiet atmosphere of a misty river, balancing soft, glowing light with crisp structural detail. We’ll work through the scene step by step, adding the boats, masts, and fine rigging so they sit convincingly within the haze. The goal is to balance softness and atmosphere with solid, detailed structure.
