I'd been wanting to tackle a new portrait painting for a while and had been on the lookout for something fun that would provide an interesting challenge. I wanted a face with lots of character and I knew that this was the one as soon as I saw it! There are lots of elements that will test you, from the aged skin, to the facial hair, to the glasses. Interestingly, this whole lesson was completed using only eight colours.
