I’ve been asked to do a tutorial on pine trees and mountains a lot over the last year but until now I’d not found any scenes that I felt inspired by. Thankfully this scene has both of those elements which work well together giving the viewer a great composition and feeling of depth. The snow adds another dimension which (believe it or not) I think makes this tutorial slightly easier because there are less techniques needed.
It’s not as difficult as it looks and that’s why I would recommend this lesson for the intermediate artist and above. If you’re a beginner I’d still encourage you to give it a try, after all practice makes perfect.
Happy painting,
Michael
