Lake Reflections - Advanced Level 1
I think my scene preference for painting has changed a little over the last four or five years, possibly as a result of demand but I like to stretch myself too. I've been asked to paint quite a few scenes like this and I can see why. There's something very peaceful about the stillness of the water in front of those huge pine trees with the backdrop of the snow capped mountains. You can almost smell the freshness in the air!
It's a very involved scene with lots of interesting elements and I really enjoyed painting it.
I've given this lesson an advanced difficulty rating but don't let that put you off if you're a beginner. It's good practice and you might surprise yourself!
Good luck!
Michael
