There are several fascinating elements in this lesson that will test your skills and offer a challenge. This scene reminds me of many woodland walks I've taken, I can imagine the smell of damp wood and the crunch of leaves underfoot.
I love the colours in this lesson, the cool blues in the distance and rich warm greens in the foreground give a really nice depth of field. There are various interesting layers, which provide a good challenge, achieving the transition between the soft, light hues and dark saturated tones is fairly tricky but don't feel daunted, I will help you develop the skills you need!
There is an incredible amount of detail in this painting, however, with the techniques I show you, creating paintings with intricate details will become easier.
