How To Paint An Apple - Advanced Level 2

Because of the detail in this still life, it offers a good challenge for the more advanced artist. Tight brushwork is needed throughout the tutorial which will require patience in order to achieve a photo realistic result. To emphasize the realism of the painting I’ve photographed the subject against a white background and lit it from above which casts a soft shadow helping to give it the 3D quality.

I hope you enjoy it,
Michael
