How to Paint a Sheep - Advanced Level 3

How to Paint a Sheep - Advanced Level 3

There's a simplicity to this subject that makes it an ideal lesson for less experienced oil painters, especially as there's limited detail in large parts of the scene. That said, the areas in focus are very detailed and turned out to be a little more challenging than I expected. Finding a brush technique that replicated the feel and texture of the fleece took me a little while but I'm pleased with the result. Pour yourself a nice big cup of tea and shut yourself away for a couple of hours but beware, a couple could very well end up being six!

I hope you enjoy it.

Best wishes,
Michael
