Beachy Head Lighthouse - Advanced Level 3
Beachy Head is a famous landmark in East Sussex, England. It's a stunning location that I know well having holidayed in the surrounding area with my family many times since the kids were small. We love the area and I've wanted to recreate some of it's scenery in oil for a while. The beach in this painting is only accessible at certain times of the day and on this day low tide was early evening. I love the way the cool colours of the chalk contrast with the warmth of the sand and sky. I think you'll enjoy this lesson as much as I enjoyed painting it!
